Cross-border workshop and local group meeting within the project EPICAH – Effectiveness of Policy Instruments for Cross – Border Advancement in Heritage



Tuesday, December 18, 2018, took place the cross-border workshop and fifth meeting of the local group established within the project EPICAH –  Effectiveness of Policy Instruments for Cross – Border Advancement in Heritage. The project EPICAH aims to promote the improvement of the policy instruments for crossborder natural and cultural heritage protection and development, through the exchange of experiences and good practices between partners with large experience in developing strategies, projects and actions in this field based on crossborder cooperation processes.

The agenda of the meetings included the following points:

  1. A) Cross-Border Semestrial Workshop Seminar
  2. Presentation of the EPICAH project and its activities;
  3. Presentation of the activities of the EPICAH project in the first 11 months in 2018 and the first semester of 2019;
  4. Discuss suggestions on proposed actions to be included in the Regional Action Plan;
  5. Presentation of EPICAH project promotion video.
  6. Distribution of EPICAH project flyers.
  7. B) Fifth Meeting of the Local Support Group
  8. Presentation of the activities of the EPICAH project in the first 11 months in 2018 and the first semester of 2019;
  9. Presentation of good practices included in Progress Report and of those accepted by partners for upload in Interreg Europe Learning Platform;
  10. Allocation of the tasks of Local Support Group members on input data for Regional Action Plan;
  11. Presentation of agenda and calendar of transnational meetings in the first semester of 2019;
  12. Suggestions for actions to be included in the Regional Action Plan.7. Suggestions for actions to be included in the Regional Action Plan.

The workshop session was dedicated to the networking opportunities, thematic communities, and European projects acting under the thematic objectives of the Program Interreg VA Romania-Hungary  2014-2020. Generating ideas for the Regional Action Plan have been structured through the contribution of the target group’s institutions and organizations.

Satu Mare County IDA presented the project EPICAH and main conclusions of all the actions held  during the first eleven months of 2018 for the project in order to assure that the knowledge of the interregional learning process generated in the first step is spread to a large number of stakeholders  involved in the design and/or implementation of the selected instrument. Association President Pataki Csaba concluded the importance of creating a viable Regional Action Plan that can be implemented with the support and involvement of local decision-makers with sustainability at European level. Taking into account the experience and conclusions of last week’s Monitoring Committee meeting of Romanian-Hungarian Interreg VA-Hungary Interreg Program, it is worth mentioning the importance of participation of members from the Local Support Group, for the completion till June 2019 of the project version for Regional Action Plan, in order  to be submitted next autumn to the European Commission approval.

The event was attended by representative of the Program Interreg VA Romania-Hungary  2014-2020 Joint Secretariate; public and private stakeholders of the Programme; as well as the beneficiaries of  already implemented projects of the Programme Interreg IVA Hungary-Romania 2007-2013 and applicants and winners  from calls of projects for Program Interreg VA Romania-Hungary  2014-2020.IMG-20181218-WA0010 IMG-20181218-WA0007 IMG-20181218-WA0003 IMG-20181218-WA0005
