Study visit within the EPICAH project
Between May 5-6, 2022, representatives of the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association and the Satu Mare County Council paid a study visit to the partner city of Plzen-Czech Republic. The purpose of the visit was to discuss and analyze the examples of good practice of the Czech partner on cross-border cultural heritage management. The program of the visit included attending a conference on cross-border heritage management in the Bavaria-Czech area, meeting with members of the local support group, visits to cross-border tourist attractions, visiting and discussions with representatives of the Bavaria Bohemia Center in Schönsee.
Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is one of the 9 partners of the EPICAH project that aims to improve policy instruments on cross-border protection of natural and cultural heritage and development, through the exchange of experience and good practices between partners with extensive experience in developing strategies, projects and actions in this field based on cross-border cooperation processes. The project is funded by the Interreg Europe Program and aims at more efficient management of cross-border natural and cultural heritage using the border as a tourist attraction, thus contributing to improving the efficiency of tourism.
