The first transnational meeting within the GENPROCURE – Gender inclusion in public procurement project

Between November 21-22, 2023, the first transnational meeting of partners from the GENPROCURE project – Gender inclusion in public procurement, a project financed by the URBACT IV Program, took place in Vila Nova de Famalicao (Portugal). The program of the meeting included presentations, debates, and workshops on the basic study of the project, the development of the project implementation methodology, the first steps in the development of the integrated action plan, and aspects of project management. The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association was represented at this meeting by Mr. Pataki Csaba- president of the Association and Satu Mare County Council, Ms. Mihaela Bura – manager of Procurement in the Satu Mare County Council, and Ms. Nicoleta Lașan – executive director of  Association and local coordinator of the project. 

The main objective of the GenProcure project is to explore how public procurement can contribute to reducing gender inequalities. The project has an implementation duration of 30 months and will be completed by drawing up a Local Action Plan in the field of public procurement. The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is one of the 9 partners of the project, along with the following public authorities: Vila Nova de Famalicao – Portugal as a leading partner with a coordinating role, Zagreb – Croatia, Koszalin – Poland, Messina – Italy, Ibrány – Hungary, Alcoy – Spain, Umea – Sweden, Department for Development and International Projects of the Canton of Zenica-Doboj – Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is financed by the URBACT IV Program and has a total value of 847,160 Euros, of which 669,873.75 Euros is co-financing by the European Union.
