Meeting of the URBACT Local Group within GENPROCURE project

On April 23, 2024, the second thematic meeting of the Local Support Group was held as part of the project GENPROCURE – Gender inclusion in public procurement, financed by the URBACT IV Program. The local support group is made up of procurement experts from public institutions in Satu Mare County.

The following topics were on the agenda of the first thematic meeting: the presentation of the results of the first transnational meeting of the project, the findings of the basic study of the project, the presentation of the work methodology and the calendar of activities, the discussion of the context and vision of the integrated action plan, the identification of interested parties; elaboration of the input data for the first chapter of the integrated plan, the calendar and topics of transnational and local meetings. The following topics were on the agenda of the second thematic meeting: the presentation of the results of the second transnational meeting in Umea – Sweden; the URBACT integrated approach; defining the strategic objectives of the local action plan; spend analysis; forthcoming transnational and local meetings.

The main objective of the GenProcure project is to explore the ways in which public procurement can contribute to reducing gender inequalities. The project has an implementation duration of 30 months and will be completed by drawing up a Local Action Plan in the field of public procurement. The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is one of the 9 partners of the project, along with the following public authorities: Vila Nova de Famalicao – Portugal as a leading partner with a coordinating role, Zagreb – Croatia, Koszalin – Poland, Messina – Italy, Ibrány – Hungary, Alcoy – Spain, Umea – Sweden, Department for Development and International Projects of the Canton of Zenica-Doboj – Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is financed by the URBACT IV Program and has a total value of 847,160 Euros, of which 669,873.75 Euros is co-financing by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
