The Vécsey Castle Park in Livada will be renovated through the CULT.ROUTE project submitted for funding by Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association. The Monitoring Committee of the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Interreg VI-A NEXT Program has approved the list of the 12 projects submitted under the culture objective to be implemented in the next period. One of the projects approved for funding is the Thematic Route of Castles 2 (acronym CULT.ROUTE) submitted for funding by Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association. The main objective of the project is to strengthen cultural cooperation by extending the thematic route of castles promoting common cultural heritage in the cross-border area. The current project is a continuation of the Thematic Route of Castles project implemented by A.D.I. Satu Mare County in the period June 2021-November 2023.
The partners of the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association in the implementation of the CULT.ROUTE project are: the City Hall of Livada, the Department for Investments, Projects, International Relations and Promotion of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council (UA) and the City Hall of Fehérgyarmat (HU). The renovation of the Vécsey Castle park (56,000 m2) in Livada will consist of the creation of alleys, the public lighting system, the placement of benches, the planting of trees and shrubs. The CULT.ROUTE project also includes as activities: the renovation of the roof of a manor house in Fehérgyarmat, the equipping of castles and manor houses with IT equipment, the creation of an integrated website for the promotion of castles and manor houses in the cross-border area, the elaboration of a photo album and a guide with the thematic route of castles, the organization of cultural festivals and exchanges of experience.
