A photovoltaic system will be installed at the Satu Mare County Emergency Hospital within the SMART ENERGY project

The President of the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association, Mr. Pataki Csaba, signed the public procurement contract for the supply and installation of the photovoltaic panel system within the SMART ENERGY project – Cross-border cooperation for energy efficiency through the use of renewable energy sources, financed by the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme.

The investment provides for the installation of a photovoltaic system with an installed power of 159.82 kWp, consisting of 262 photovoltaic panels and three inverters with a total power of 120 kW AC, located at the Satu Mare County Emergency Hospital. The value of the contract is 465,077.25 lei, excluding VAT, and the delivery, installation and commissioning term of the photovoltaic panel system is 60 days from the issuance of the delivery order. This investment will increase the use of energy from renewable sources and reduce electricity costs.

The SMART ENERGY project – Cross-border cooperation for energy efficiency through the use of renewable energy sources is implemented by the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association, as the partnership leader, together with the Transcarpathia Regional Development Agency (Ukraine) and the Municipality of Újfehértó (Hungary). The main objective of the project is to strengthen cross-border cooperation in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy through joint activities that enhance knowledge, raise public awareness, and promote the wider use of renewable energy sources.

The total value of the project is 625,471.86 euros, of which 562,924.67 euros represents funding provided by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine Programme. The project is implemented between February 15, 2025 and December 31, 2026.
