Development Strategy of Vetiș Commune elaborated within the Planning4U project

The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association (ADI Judetul Satu Mare) has received the development strategy for Vetiș commune, Satu Mare County, for the period 2026–2032. The document was prepared within the framework of the Planning4U – Collaboration of Local Communities in the HU-RO-UA Border Region for Joint Development Planning, Capacity Building, and Partnership Building project (code: HUSKROUA/23/RS/3.1/037), financed by the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Program.

This strategy aims to promote the sustainable development of local communities, strengthen economic and institutional relations with partners in Hungary and Ukraine, and support local authorities in accessing European Union funding for future projects.

The Planning4U project is coordinated by the Institute for National Strategy Research and brings together partners from three countries: the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association (Romania), the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County Council and the Tisza European Territorial Association with Limited Liability (Hungary), and the Association of Local Authorities of the Transcarpathian Border Region (Ukraine).

The main objective of the Planning4U project is to address the challenges in the border region caused by Ukraine’s administrative reform, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Russia-Ukraine conflict. By developing development plans and impact studies, the project contributes to strengthening economic and social relations among the three countries and prepares Ukraine for the European Union accession process.

The Planning4U project has a budget of €600,327.63, is implemented from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2026, and is funded under the Interreg VI-A NEXT Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2021-2027 Program.
