GenProcure Final Conference – Press Release

On Wednesday 29th October 2025 Satu Mare Intercommunity Development Association participated in the Final Conference of the URBACT funded GenProcure Action Planning Network (APN). URBACT is an EU-wide Transnational Cooperation Programme which is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg Programme. Over the last two and a half years, the GenProcure project has sought to change the way in which 9 Project Partners think about public procurement, with a particular emphasis upon how Gender can be considered when buying goods, services and works. 

At the final conference, the GenProcure network launched as a final result a ‘ Catalogue of Gender Considerations and Gender Clauses in Procurement’. The Catalogue has been co-produced by the Partners and provides advice and guidance as to how Gender can be considered across the 6 steps of the ‘Cycle of Procurement’.The catalogue can be viewed in English here: https://b-smart.famalicao.pt/genprocure/ and in the coming weeks will be available in Romanian.

At the final conference, which took place in Zagreb, the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association, represented by Mr. Pataki Csaba – president, the implementation team and the members of the local support group, presented the integrated action plan developed within the project. This plan details the actions that will be implemented in the coming years to consolidate the knowledge acquired within the project, actions that emphasize the inclusion of gender considerations in public procurement. 

The main objective of the GenProcure project is to explore the ways in which public procurement can contribute to reducing gender inequalities. The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association is one of the 9 partners of the project, along with the following public authorities: Vila Nova de Famalicao – Portugal as a leading partner with a coordinating role, Zagreb – Croatia, Koszalin – Poland, Messina – Italy, Újfehértó – Hungary, Alcoy – Spain, Umea – Sweden, Department for Development and International Projects of the Canton of Zenica-Doboj – Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is financed by the URBACT IV Program and has a total value of 847,160 Euros, of which 599.611,75 Euros is co-financing by the European Union.
