A.D.I. SATU MARE COUNTY STARTS IMPLEMENTING THE “STRENGTHENING BILATERAL COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF GREEN TRANSITION” PROJECT

The Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association begins the implementation of the “Strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of green transition” project. The project is supported by a grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian Grants 2014-2021, within the framework of the “Energy Program in Romania”, the amount of the grant awarded is 142,630  Euros. The main objective of the project is the development and promotion of measures that contribute to the innovative and fair green transition in Satu Mare County through bilateral cooperation.

The project has an implementation duration of 7 months, and the main activities of the project consist of: developing a pre-feasibility study on renewable energy and energy efficiency for R.A. Satu Mare International Airport and the organization of a study visit to Norway for 10 representatives of public institutions from Satu Mare County for the transfer of knowledge and best practices in the field of energy efficiency and energy security. The Association’s partner in this project is Vista Analyze AS from Norway, an organization that also collaborated with the Satu Mare County Intercommunity Development Association in the implementation of the RENEWSM project. The current  project has a total value of 167,800  Euros, of which 142,630  Euros represents funding from the EEA and Norwegian Grants 2014-2021. 

Note:The EEA grants represent the contribution of the states of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to a greener, more competitive and more inclusive Europe. There are two major objectives: reducing economic and social disparities in Europe and strengthening bilateral relations between donor states and the 15 EU states in Central and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. The 3 donor states cooperate closely with the EU within the framework of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Donor states provided 3.3 billion Euros through grant schemes between 1994 and 2014. For the period 2014-2021, EEA Grants have a value of 1.55 billion Euros.
